Just Sadie's Scenes
Memorial Day 2011 I was blessed to do something special with my kids. They are Cub Scouts and
one of the things they do is place flags on the graves of the men and women who served our country from the Civil War until now at the Grand Rapids Home for the Veterans. My mom's dad is buried here and my son was able to place a flag on his grave. This year, my youngest son was able to do it and my husband proudly stood by as a leader. This year, I am a leader. It is amazing to see how respectful those crazy, hyper and outgoing boys who make up the Cub Scouts really are when it comes to something like this. I am proud to be a Cub Scout Mom and Leader.
One day while out exploring with my husband, we happened upon this beautiful old building out somewhere west of Kent City, MI. We have yet to figure out what it is or how to get back but we thought it was cool.
